John currently runs Command Computers a web design and marketing business in Taree and craft.ontheinternet.com.au an on-line retail shop employing several staff since 2003. He is the web designer for those sites, and a number of other websites listed here.
Has owned & operated Economy Computing since 1984, specialising in tuition, consulting, web design, internet marketing, programming & contract work. He was an experienced MYOB software dealer. Qualified as a psychologist, he worked three years as a community Health Education Officer for the NSW Health Commission. In 1980 he was responsible for the successful 2 year media campaign to remove Paul Hogan as the leading figure promoting Winfield cigarettes, on the grounds of his appeal to children.
He had twelve years experience as part-time computer tutor at CYSS and Exit Right Training (Skillshare). Eleven years as part-time computer tutor at Taree College of TAFE. John has been a Skillshare Board Chairman for twelve years, and has had extensive experience working with Aboriginal groups over the past 15 years. He has done training and computer support for Forster LALC, Biripi Aboriginal Medical Centre, Awabakal AMS, Quirindi Aboriginal Corporation, Walgett AMS, Coffs & District LALC, Kalwun AMS (Gold Coast), Booroongen Djugun Corp (Kempsey), Thungutti LALC (Bellbrook), La Perouse LALC, Purfleet/Taree LALC, Wollongong AMS, and Tobwabba Art group. John also provided regular financial & bookkeeping assistance and training to Forster LALC for two years.
